The 2008 Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race began on Saturday February 9th at 11:00 a.m. on the Chena River in downtown Fairbanks, Alaska.

Chena Hot Springs was a Check point on the race 99 miles from fairbanks, seeing the arrival of the first Mushers ang Dog Sled Teams on February 9th at 7:57pm.  For race updates click here»

Dog Kennel Tours

With over 50 dogs, Chena Dog Kennel offers visitors an Alaskan adventure to remember with a dog sled ride through a beautiful winter trail or in summer; a dog cart ride through the resort. The visitor center provides a great place to warm up either before or after your ride.
